The Parks Trust investigating mystery 'powder' reports at Milton Keynes lake

The Parks Trust say they are investigating reports of a mystery powder at Caldecotte Lake after a dog fell ill.

On Sunday, the RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks Branch issued a warning on social media after a pet dog fell ill and was hospitalised.

The charity has reported that this was the result of some unknown powder that was found in the lake.

MKFM reached out to The Parks Trust, who look after the lake, and they are currently investigating reports.

A spokesperson for The Parks Trust said: "We are continuing to investigate the reports of a powder at Caldecotte Lake and are in contact with the vets to try and get more information on this incident.

"We have identified areas where flour or chalk has been used for markings for running events but we have not come across any other powder at this stage."
