Temperatures are on the rise as Milton Keynes is set to reach 27°C next week

Just as we thought summer was coming to a close, it now looks like Milton Keynes is set for another mini-heatwave with temperatures potentially reaching the high 20's!

The Met Office announced that the UK is set for more scorching sunshine just hours after the Government announced stricter coronavirus rules.

From Monday, when temperatures are set to peak, it will be illegal for groups of more than six people to meet in both indoor and outdoor settings (exceptions apply).

Those who flout the rules will face a £100 fine which will then double on each offence with people potentially holding a maximum fine of £3,200.

The hot weather previously led groups of people to host BBQs, gatherings, and flock to the closest beach to soak up the sun. These large gatherings won't be allowed unfortunately, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the sunshine with close friends or family.

Now, let's look at the weather forecast. You'll want to keep your summer clothes out for a little bit longer...

    Friday - 18°c

Temperatures will start to climb tomorrow. BBC Weather says it will be mixed with some sun, cloud and a light breeze. Highs of 18°C.

    Saturday - 19°c

It seems temperatures will slowly continue to rise with some more sun, cloud and breeze on Saturday. Highs of 19°C.

    Sunday - 23°c

Whack on some SPF, dig out the shorts and have an ice lolly as this may be the last little bit of summer we'll get! Lots of sunshine forecast for Saturday with highs of 23°C.

    Monday - 26°c

If you thought the weather we're set to have on Sunday is hot enough then you're in for a surprise. Temperatures are continuing to climb with even more sunshine, highs of 26°C!

    Tuesday - 27°c

This is expected to be the peak of our mini heatwave with highs of a whopping 27°.

    Wednesday - 24°c

It may change but at the moment the forecast is even more sunshine, with a slightly lower temperature of 24°c.
