Teenage girl sadly dies following collision in Milton Keynes

    Police have issued an update today (22/4), following a collision that took place on April 16th.

    On 17th April, Thames Valley Police issued their appeal for witnesses after three teenage girls suffered serious injuries following a road traffic collision on the carriageway of the H3 Monks Way by Linford Wood.

    Today, police have issued an update stating that unfortunately one of the girls has sadly died.

    Police wrote: "Sadly, one of the injured pedestrians, a 15-year-old girl has since died.

    "Our thoughts are with her family and they are being supported by officers.

    "We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have seen what happened, or who has any dash-cam from the area around the time of the incident to please come forward.

    "You can call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference 1555 of 16 April."

    At about 5.29pm on Saturday 16th April, a black Mercedes E Class was travelling on the H3 Monks Way next to Linford Wood, in the direction of the V7 Saxon Street, when it collided with three pedestrians.

    Two of the pedestrians were taken to Milton Keynes University hospital with serious injuries and one pedestrian was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford also with serious injuries.

    The three teenagers are all from Milton Keynes.

    The driver of the Mercedes remained on scene and did not require hospital treatment.

    Investigating officer, PC Christopher Ruvolo-Jones of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Milton Keynes, said; “We are appealing for witnesses following this collision. 

    “We would like to talk to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or seen the pedestrian’s prior to entering the H3 Monk’s Way dual carriageway.

    “Additionally if anyone was travelling on the dual carriageway around the time of the incident and has a dash-cam we would ask them to check their footage and get in touch if it shows anything which maybe of assistance to our investigation.
