Take part in the MK Half Marathon for #TeamNSPCC

Take on 2022 by becoming part of #TeamNSPCC and taking part in this year’s Milton Keynes Half Marathon on 26th June.

There’s plenty of time to prepare for the 21,1KM road running event, which will be taking place at The Webber Independent School in Stantonbury.

Andy Hully, MK Half Marathon Race Director, said: “My first ever half marathon race was the NSPCC Milton Keynes Half Marathon in 2006, which I then went on to run five more times. Unfortunately, this great event disappeared from the running calendar in 2018! I’m very pleased to say that I will be putting this event back on for the NSPCC on 26th June. It’s such a privilege to be able to support the NSPCC with an event that means so much to me.”

Entrants will be given an NSPCC t-shirt and fundraising pack with full support from our fundraising team throughout. The NSPCC also gives fundraising awards once sponsorship targets have been reached.

Freya Hollingsworth, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager for Buckinghamshire, said: “We are looking for unstoppable, passionate people to join #TeamNSPCC for this year’s MK half marathon. So, it’s time to lace up those trainers, get back out there, and help us raise vital funds to keep children safe.

“If the last few years have shown us anything, it’s how vital our services are, but also how much we can do for children when we join together. A new year brings new hope, so why not take on the challenge and do something to protect children?”

£4 can pay for one for a Childline counsellor to answer one call to a vulnerable child.

Raising £150 could pay for one NSPCC helpline practitioner shift, providing vital help and support to adults concerned about a child's welfare.
