Take part in the first ever Willen Hospice Stretcher Race

Willen Hospice is bringing a different day out to Milton Keynes with their first ever Stretcher Race. Taking place on Saturday 19 October, 1pm, at Emberton Country Park.

The event is being organised in partnership with energie Fitness, MKM Building Supplies and Big Cow Events.

Laughs and adrenaline are guaranteed as teams of 6 – 8 people figure out how to build their stretcher, and then race against the clock to complete a series of challenges, including a Tower of Tyres, Slalom, and more.

The Stretcher Race is open to anyone over the age of 12 (12-16 must be accompanied by a participating adult), and is a fantastic day out for work colleagues, social groups, friends and family. Teams can join up if they just want a laugh, or maybe to celebrate a big birthday, anniversary, or milestone.

Tracey Jago, Events Fundraiser, said: “We are so excited for the Stretcher Race. We’ve never really held an event like this so it’s great to bring something completely different to Milton Keynes. I’ve seen the full details of the challenges and I can tell you that it’s going to be such a fun event with lots of laughs. A huge Thank you goes to energie Fitness, Big Cow Events and MKM Building Supplies for being so enthusiastic and helping to make the event possible.”

Rob Francis, energie Fitness owner, said “Here at energie Fitness Gym we are only too pleased to provide our skills and expertise to help create this fantastic event. Everyone is welcome, so come along, have a go and support a fantastic cause.”

Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.7million every year, that’s £9 a minute. By taking part in events like the Stretcher Race, local people can support their Hospice and the care it provides.
