Shocking video shows waste management building ablaze in Milton Keynes

Fire crews were called to reports of a fire in Old Wolverton at around 7pm last night (26/2) and discovered a waste management building on fire.

Residents are saying the fire took place at Viridor Waste Management on Colts Holm Road.

A source from Bucks Fire has told MKFM that it is "unclear" what caused the fire.

They said: "It's come from the recycling blocks that are made and stacked up so something caused a fire in one of those maybe a battery exploding due to the pressure and has then spread quite rapidly."

Four fire appliances and one water carrier initially attended the scene. It has been downsized to two appliances which are juts breaking up the rubbish and putting out hot spots of the fire.

The fire is now under control.
