A 21 year old sadly died after sustaining stab wounds.

A section 60 order is currently in place across parts of Milton Keynes.

Thames Valley Police wrote: “We have decided to put this in place following a stabbing last night in which a man sadly lost his life. Whilst we continue our investigation to find those responsible, this section 60 order means that we can stop and search anyone in the area for weapons.

“You will see more officers in these areas and we expect to carry out more stop and searches.

“If you are stopped by officers, please do not be alarmed or worried. You are not in any trouble, we are simply looking to take weapons off the streets of Milton Keynes.

“This order will expire at 5pm tomorrow (Wednesday 30/3) but there is the potential that this could be extended further.”

Officers were called at about 11.34pm last night (28/3) following reports of a stabbing outside a property in The Hide, Netherfield.

They attended the scene, along with the ambulance service, where a 21-year-old man had sustained stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene, as well as at Milton Keynes University Hospital, but sadly died in the early hours of this morning (29/3). His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
