Section 60 order covering Milton Keynes extended

    The order has been extended again until 3:30pm tomorrow (18/2).

    Following the tragic murder near Chaffron away in Milton Keynes on Friday last week, Thames Valley Police announced they were putting a section 60 order in place in MK until 4.06pm on Saturday 12/2. 

    The section 60 order has been extended since then.

    Thames Valley Police explained last week that the order ‘enhances’ theirmstop & search powers, meaning officers can stop and search anyone within the shown area for weapons.

    Following the launch of a murder investigation in Milton Keynes, Police formally identified the victim on Monday 14/2.

    Ahmednur Nuur, aged 16, from Conniburrow, Milton Keynes, sadly died after an incident near to Milton Keynes College just after 1.30pm on Friday (11/2).

    Justice Will-Mamah, aged 18, of Coniston Way, Bletchley, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

    Ahmednur’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers and they have released the following tribute to him:

    “Nur in Arabic means light and Ahmednur was the embodiment of the warmest, brightest shades of his name. If he wasn't making people smile, it’s because he was making them laugh.

    “We lost our light on earth, but we pray Allah unites us with our adored brother and son in Jannah, where his luminous soul will remain in peace.

    “Verily we know, inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un- indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.”
