Search for local man whose heroic efforts saved dog at Willen Lake

Last night, Tuesday 30th April, a male cyclist stopped to help French Bulldog, Reggie, from drowning. Can you help find the local hero to be thanked for his selfless act of kindness?

Amy Barrows was walking her one-year old French Bulldog, Reggie, last night between 19:10 – 19:20 at Willen Lake when Reggie took a leap into the water. In complete panic, knowing that Reggie is unable to swim and seeing him struggling to keep his head above the water, Amy tried to reach for Reggie to grab him out of the lake but without avail.

A male cyclist passing by the lake selflessly stopped after seeing the worry on Amy’s face and helped to pull Reggie from the water. Within minutes they had him out and back to safety. The gentleman stayed with Reggie, kept him warm and ensured both owner and pooch were okay before continuing his evening cycle.

Reggie’s owner Amy says, “I couldn't be more thankful for his help and would like to thank him for what he courageously done (and pay for his dry cleaning). I am hoping that as a community we can find him so that I can thank him. Had he not been there things may have ended a lot worse.”

If you know the man that helped Reggie and Amy on Tuesday night please contact info@mkfm.com or share this article in the search to find this local hero and thank him for his kindness.
