Road section of Woburn Safari Park is to remain open during COVID-19 outbreak

    Despite restaurants, gyms, pubs and clubs closing over the weekend, the road section of Woburn Safari Park will remain open to the public during the COVID-19 outbreak.

    The park, however, is taking important steps to ensure social distancing guidelines are met with the Leisure Area, VIP Experiences and Foot Safari all being closed until further notice.

    Woburn Safari Park released a statement on their website, which read: “Due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19, Woburn Safari Park is open but will only operate the Road Safari section of the park until further notice.

    “Woburn Safari Park is taking every necessary precaution to safeguard the health and wellbeing of staff, visitors and animals at this time and we are happy to confirm the following measures are in place.

    “Visitors are only able to enter the park and travelling in your own vehicle, you are able to self-isolate in your car and maintain social distancing, as per Government guidelines. The Foot Safari, Leisure Area and VIP Experiences have been closed / suspended until further notice. 

    “Cleaning routines have been increased for all toilets, with a cleaner on site all day to ensure high standards of hygiene.

    “Tickets should be purchased online, to reduce all unnecessary contact with our cashiers.

    Staff have been fully briefed and are following the strictest health and safety standards.”
