Residents invited to plant fruit trees in Milton Keynes estate

Grange Farm residents are being invited to help plant fruit trees at 11am tomorrow (11/3).

Shenley Church End Parish Council are inviting residents to 'help make Grange Farm a wildlife haven for the future'.

As part of Milton Keynes Council's celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and their wildlife havens project, fruit trees are being planted at Grange Farm main park on tomorrow, Friday 11h March.

Residents are being invited along to help with the planting. Shenley Church End Parish Council say: "If you think you could help, please join us at 11am at the main park in Grange Farm. We hope to see you there!"

Residents and Parish Councils across the borough have been planting trees as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.

Back in January, pupils at Denbigh school spent a day planting trees supplied by the Woodland Trust.

The aim of the scheme is to create a network of individual trees, avenues, copses and woodlands in honour of The Queen's service and the legacy she has built.

It is hoped that this will create a green legacy, with the trees planted bringing benefits to people, wildlife and the climate, now and in the future.

The Mayor of MK has said he is set to join Milton Keynes Council tomorrow to plant another tree.
