Residents can help choose new street name as redevelopment takes place in Milton Keynes town

Residents have been invited to play a part in the redevelopment of the Agora.

Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council has taken to social media to invite residents to have a chance at playing a part in the redevelopment of the Agora area of Wolverton.

The Town Council wrote: "We are looking for suggestions for possible street names which will be considered at the next meeting of Full Council on 26th April."

They warn that the naming convention states that the chosen street name must not duplicate or conflict with neighbouring parts of Milton Keynes, not be named after any living person or promote any individual/organisation, should not cause any confusion or be liable to cause offense.

You can email your ideas to office@wolvertonandgreenleystowncouncil.gov.uk.

Back in March, the timeline for the redevelopment was confirmed.

Demolition contractors are expected to erect hoarding around the Agora in mid-April and will then start to work on internal preparation, internal demolition and removal of internal materials before demolition of the exterior starts in July.

The historic work in July will be marked with a community event.
