Redway Runners launches new runs for Newport Pagnell residents

Residents in Newport Pagnell are set to benefit from two weekly running sessions thanks to local running group, the Redway Runners.

Local residents appealed to the running club for runs in the area and last night the session was formally opened by Councillor Paul Day, the Newport Pagnell Mayor with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new runs include a free beginner’s course supported by Body Limits Treatment Clinic, with only 40 places available - they were all snapped up within 4 days!

The beginner’s course is just one of 11 courses the running club has launched this year with a record number of 450 new runners signing up all working towards completing the MK 5k parkrun in March 2020.

Milton Keynes this year is the ‘2020 European City of Sport’ and with events running throughout the year the Redway Runners is committed to help the people of Newport Pagnell to start their running journey.

Martin Lawrence, Chair of the Redway Runners said, “We have run over 100 beginner’s courses which means we have a tried and tested framework in place.”

It’s amazing to see a 50% increase in bookings and have still not being able to meet all of the demand as they are sold out almost immediately.”

Mark Booth, owner of Body Limits Treatment Clinic in Newport Pagnell said, “When we presented an opportunity to collaborate with the Redway Runners we were delighted to support local residents to help them meet their running goals.”

The Redway Runners is an all-inclusive running club in Milton Keynes and has sessions every day of the week to suit the needs of all people. For more information about the club, visit: www.redwayrunners.com
