Preparations underway for the MK Midnight Moo on Saturday

Preparations are in full swing for the MK Midnight Moo, which is taking place this Saturday 15th July at Midnight supporting Willen Hospice.

The theme at the Moo this year is 'Gold' to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Milton Keynes, with 50 male moo places also available for one year only.

The 10 mile midnight walk allows women from across the city to come together and raise money for Willen Hospice. Spaces are still available for local ladies to sign up on the evening of the event.

A special team will also be taking part this year in aid of Remembering Brian White, the former MP and Mayor for Milton Keynes who sadly passed away last year.

The team will include Previous Mayoress Liane Lacey, Actress Ann-Marie Davis as well as Lia Christodoulou, Hawwa Dorrington, Sonia Huckle and Evani Mannur from MKFM.

In addition to supporting the event itself, MKFM's Darren and Lia will be broadcasting a special programme building up to the event from 8pm on Saturday night.

The live broadcast will include interviews with both organisers and people taking part, as well as live updates from the warm-up.

Sarah Sweet-Rowley, Events Manager at Willen Hospice said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to the Walk for Brian team for coming together and once again walking the MK Midnight Moo in support of the care at Willen Hospice. The Moo is our biggest fundraising of the year and every pound raised helps us continue to make a difference to our patients and their loved ones."

"It’s a great night full of fun and laughter and we can’t wait to welcome all the teams and individuals who will be at the starting line at Midnight on 15th July, ready to walk those ten miles for Willen Hospice!”
