Popular Milton Keynes Reggae festival nominated for several awards

The annual UK Festival Awards have included the popular Reggae Land Festival in their shortlist for this year's finals.

It has been announced that the popular Reggae Land Festival that takes place in Milton Keynes is in the Best Small Festival, Best Metropolitan Festival and Best New Festival categories at the UK Festival Awards.

The much-loved family-friendly festival brings over 50 artists to the city including the likes of Reggae legends Shaggy, Julian Marley,

The immersive cultural experience sees a daily attendance of 10,000 people over three stages and two days. This year, it went down at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes with live authentic steel pan bands, Caribbean food village, reggae flea market, reggae land rum bus serving rum cocktails, carnival dancers and more.

The final UK Festival Awards event is held on 6th December at Manchester’s Freight Island and allows festival organisers and suppliers to get together and reflect of the past season whilst looking forward to the next.

Awards range from grassroots to large and there are categories for family and non-music festivals. Winners are decided by a combination of  either fan votes, expert panel, or a combination of both with special awards for Best Major Festival, Outstanding Contribution and, for one year only, the Perfect Pivot Award for the festival business that applied its skills to alternative activity during the Covid closure.
