Police step up patrols in Bletchley as Peartree Bridge Car Wash re-opens

Police have stepped up patrols in the Bletchley area following raids at a number of locations in Milton Keynes yesterday which saw fifteen people arrested for modern slavery offences.

Meanwhile, Police are continuing the search for wanted man Armond Mucmata, who is wanted for both immigration and money laundering offences.

Sources have told MKFM that the Peartree Bridge Hand Car Wash, which was one of the locations subjected to an immigration raid yesterday, was open as normal today with 'regular faces washing cars'.

In a statement, Thames Valley Police said: "The community may have noticed an increased uniform presence within the centre of Bletchley today.  Officers are continuing to engage with the public in highlighting organised crime that often goes unnoticed."

"Lots of shoppers and workers have been spoken to in Bletchley today and advised to inform police immediately if Mr Mucmata should he be seen."

"The Policing team in partnership with Crimestoppers have displayed Wanted posters of Armond Mucmata around central Bletchley, have been placed in shops and will also be displayed on lampposts in and around the Queensway for the next two weeks in a bid to locate Mucmata."

"The Neighbourhood Policing team are keen to locate and arrest Mucmata at the earliest opportunity."

Anyone who has any information regarding his whereabouts is being asked to make contact with Police on 101, or to call 999 if they see him directly.
