Police report man for speeding in Milton Keynes after Euro finals

Following the end of last night’s match, Thames Valley Road Policing Unit reported one man for his ‘shocking’ driving speeds.

In a statement released on social media, a spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “A very busy evening for our Roads Policing teams across the Thames Valley.

“In Buckinghamshire we ended the evening by conducting a road check on the Risborough Road, Stoke Mandeville where we stopped over 10 vehicles to check for ‘morning after’ football drink drivers before one of these motorists failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

”The driver blew a lower reading of 50ug in custody just after 6am and will now be charged to court.
(The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath).

“En-route back from custody another motorist caught our eye on the A5 Southbound in Milton Keynes and was recorded at 108mph. These are shocking speeds considering the road was damp and he allegedly had swig of beer as his ‘mouth was dry’.

“He passed the breath test but reported to court where he faces serious repercussions for his driving.”
