Police launch witness appeal following assault near Cranfield

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault that took place on Monday (16/3) along Folly Lane.

The incident took place at around 13:45.

The victim, a man in his sixties, was cycling from Cranfield along Folly Lane when a silver Audi TT passed at speed and the driver shouted abuse towards him.

The car then stopped in front of the victim, forcing him to cycle into the road. The driver opened the car door and knocked the victim off the bike.

He sustained a fractured spine and seven fractured ribs, and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
