Police issue update after man in his 60s is stabbed in Milton Keynes town

    Police have issued an update following a stabbing that took place on 12th March in Newport Pagnell.

    The incident happened on Saturday evening, 12th March, at about 9.20pm in High Street, Newport Pagnell.

    Thames Valley Police received reports that a man aged in his 60s had sustained stab wounds and suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

    Officers attended the scene, where a 21-year-old man was detained.

    He had also sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police arrested him on suspicion of attempted murder.

    Today, police have issued an update saying: "Following this incident, the arrested man has now been discharged from hospital into police custody.

    "The man in his 60s who was also injured was discharged from hospital last week and is expected to make a full recovery."
