Police ask for help to trace a victim after incidents of public order and sexual assault in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for information and help in tracing a victim, after incidents of public order and sexual assault in Milton Keynes.

    At a time between 11am and midday on Saturday (11/7), officers received a report that a woman was sitting on a bench near Marks & Spencer, outside Milton Keynes Railway Station, when an offender approached her and touched her inappropriately on her thigh.

    The victim left the scene before police arrival, but officers would still appeal for her to come forward.

    Prior to this incident, it was also reported that an offender had used abusive language towards members of the public.

    A 34-year-old man, of Milton Keynes, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on a female and a public order offence. He has been released on bail until 8 August.

    Investigating officer, PC Gemma Gibbs, of Milton Keynes police station said: “I am appealing for the victim of this incident of sexual assault to come forward and speak to us.

    “An arrest has been made in connection with this, however the victim of the sexual assault incident has not come forward.

    “As such, we would like for her to come forward and speak to us about the incident, and we would also like to hear from any witnesses.
