Police arrest lorry driver over the alcohol limit in Milton Keynes following M1 collision

    The lorry driver failed to stop for police after being involved in a collision on the M1.

    The crash took place on the M1 Northbound between Junction 12 (Toddington) and Junction 13 (Milton Keynes/Bedford) last night.

    Police managed to stop the driver in Milton Keynes where he tested over the limit whilst in custody.

    The Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit are waiting for the driver to sober up before interviewing.

    The Policing Unit said on Twitter: "Driver of this foreign heavy was involved in a fail to stop RTC on M1 J12-J13. We stopped the vehicle in Milton Keynes and driver blew 98 in custody. He will be interviewed in the morning when sober. Big thank you to Thames Valley Police for their assistance."
