Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of affray which took place in a local shopping centre.
At 12.30pm on Tuesday (11/5) there was an altercation in the centre:mk shopping centre, outside Bodyshop and Beaverbrooks, between two groups.
One group contained two men, and the other group contained six men. A bottle is believed to have been thrown towards the larger group, resulting in an altercation taking place where it is believed a baton weapon was used.
A member of staff from the Bodyshop, and also a passer-by both intervened to try and stop the altercation.
The larger group of six offenders, fled on foot after the incident. The other two men left before police arrived to the scene.
No arrests have been made.
All those involved are described as male and being aged in their late teens to early twenties.
Three of the offenders are described as Asian. The first, who is believed to have used the weapon, was dressed in a black hooded jacket, dark blue jogging bottoms, black trainers and also had on a black rucksack with a white logo on it.
The second was wearing a black coat with a quilted pattern on it with horizontal stitching. He was taller and of a skinny build with grey or blue jogging bottoms and black trainers. He had short black hair.
The third was also wearing a black puffa jacket, black trousers and black trainers. He was described as being tall and of a skinny build.
One of the other offenders is described as a white man wearing a black puffa style jacket, with a grey hooded top underneath, grey tracksuit bottoms which had a black stripe down the leg and black trainers. He had medium length brown hair with a long fringe.
The final two offenders are described as black men, one wearing a black hooded coat, dark grey jeans and black trainers. The other had red on his coat sleeves and shoulders and also was wearing dark grey jeans. Both were wearing rucksacks.
Detective Constable Martin Camp, of Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident which was particularly violent and took place in front of lots of people in a busy shopping centre.
“I’d like to thank the brave members of the public who tried to intervene to stop this from happening. One of whom sustained a minor injury to their hand, which thankfully didn’t require hospital treatment.
“I’d appeal to anyone who was in the Centre MK on this day that may have seen this incident, to please come forward and speak to police.
“I can also understand why this incident may have caused concern and worry in the community. Despite it being an unpleasant incident to have happened, I would like to emphasise that we believe it was isolated.
