Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Milton Keynes.
Between 6.15pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday (8/2), two men knocked on the front door of a property in Windmill Drive while three men knocked on the back door.
The offenders told the victims, a man in his eighties and a woman in her seventies, that they were plumbers, working on the house next door, and needed access to their house to turn off the water supply.
When the offenders entered the house, some of them told the victims to empty the cupboards in the kitchen while the others searched the property.
One of the victims was pushed over while he tried exiting the house to get help, but he didn’t sustain any injuries.
The offenders fled the scene using the backdoor and jumped over a fence.
No items were stolen during the incident.
The offenders are described as white men, all wearing black clothing and black face coverings, aged between 20 and 40.
One of the offenders had a 30cm silver kitchen knife.
Investigating officer, PC Laura Smith based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident of distraction burglary to get in touch with police.
“I would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have information on this incident.
