People who attended 'party' in Milton Keynes told to self-isolate after Sixth Form student tests positive for COVID-19

People who attended a 'party' at a woods in Milton Keynes are now being told to self-isolate after a local Sixth Form student has tested positive for coronavirus.

Ousedale School in Newport Pagnell contacted parents to inform them a Sixth Form student tested positive after attending a 'party' in Olney a couple of weeks ago.

MKFM can confirm that this student went into school for an hour before going home. Ousedale School says the incident is being dealt with, and that there is "no bubble isolating, just the tutor group".

In a message sent to parents, as seen by MKFM, the school says that they have been in contact with Public Health England regarding the matter.

It reads: "A student in our 6th Form has confirmed that they have tested positive for Covid-19 (Coronavirus). We have been in contact with Public Health England who have advised that any student who attended a party, that took place in some woods in Olney, on Saturday 5th September must inform the school immediately and isolate until Sunday 20th September."

The text message did not include any further guidance for students at the school. All other students are advised to attend school so long as they do not come down with any coronavirus symptoms.

In a separate incident, Stantonbury International School has temporarily closed today following the news that a Year 8 pupil has tested positive for coronavirus.

Year 8 children and some staff members from the school are now being told to self-isolate for 14 days. Children who have not come into contact with the affected pupil do not need to self-isolate but should do if symptoms begin to appear.
