Over £29,000 raised so far in bid to support 10-year-old Milton Keynes boy with brain cancer

A fundraiser has been set up to help support a 10-year-old boy receive potentially life-changing treatments.

A fundraiser has been launched in a bid to get access to additional treatment options for 10-year-old Jude, from Milton Keynes.

In 2020, at just 8 years old, Jude was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer.

Over the last two years, Jude has undergone invasive brain surgeries, chemo and radiotherapy and initially received positive news. Doctors and the family believed the interventions had been a success.

Earlier this year, following a routine scan, Jude's family received the devastating news that the tumour had returned in a different part of his brain and this time it was inoperable.

With no cure currently available in the UK, Jude has been receiving chemotherapy in a bid to prolong his life.

Following a search across the world for treatment, Jude's family have been in touch with doctors in Greece who have taken a sample of the tumour and are currently taking part in research.

GoFundMe has been set up in a bid to support the family with treatment costs with the hope of making this difficult time 'more accessible and less stressful'.

So far, fundraisers have raised over £29,000.
