'Open sewage flooding' causes partial closure of Morrisons Milton Keynes Car Park

Open sewage 'flooding into the car park' at Morrisons in Central Milton Keynes has caused an area of the car park to be closed to shoppers, with many reporting an unpleasant smell in the area.

The incident was reported this morning at the Central Milton Keynes branch of Morrisons, next to the Milton Keynes Central Rail Station.

One shopper told MKFM: "I've just been there and it stinks. There is what appears to be open sewage and toilet roll all over the Car Park. Lots of it seems to be closed off. It stank that much, we just had to get out of there."

Another shopper told us that two cars which were in the Car Park couldn't be accessed with an elderly couple asking the store for assistance.

Meanwhile, Twitter user Tom Hughes tweeted the supermarket chain: "Morrisons Milton Keynes sewage flooding their car park avoid! Had to climb into car through boot, smells awful."

The cause of the incident is not yet known, but it is believed the store itself is open and unaffected.
