One man accused of murdering two Milton Keynes teenagers has pleaded guilty at the start of the trial.

Dom Ansah and Ben Gillham-Rice, both aged 17, were fatally stabbed at a house party in Emerson Valley in October 2019.

Five people are currently standing trial for two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder at Luton Crown Court. The trial will last seven weeks.

The people facing trial are Clayton Barker, aged 20 of Surrey Road, Bletchley, Charlie Chandler, 22 of Fitzwilliam Street, Bletchley, and Earl Bevans, 23 of no fixed abode, and two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

All five defendants previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, but yesterday Earl Bevans changed his plea to guilty.

ITV Anglia reports that the trial's judge, Mr Justice Spencer, said to the jury this morning: "At the end of proceedings here in court, after you had gone home, one of the five defendants changed his pleas to guilty on all four charges he faced."

The judge also reportedly added that the guilty plea "proves nothing as far as the other defendants are concerned".

    The trial continues.
