Olney estate agent pledges to donate £50 from every successful house sale to support local girl with Neuroblastoma

An Olney-based estate agents has vowed to donate £50 from every single successful house sale in 2022 to Poppy’s appeal.

Poppy Bailey from Lavendon, MK, was diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, during tests after mum Claire noticed she looked pale and had lost her appetite last year.

Poppy’s cancer has less than a 40-50% chance of long-term survival and had already spread widely, including to her bones and bone marrow.

A local estate agents, Margaret James, has vowed to donate £50 from every single successful house sale in 2022 to Poppy’s appeal.

Margaret James is a family run business with over 20 years combined experience. Robert Hogson, directer of Margaret James, named the business after his mother who sadly passed away from cancer a few years ago.

He told Princess Poppy's Rainbow Appeal that he now wanted to help Poppy in some way.

Robert said: "Having lost my mum to cancer and being a parent myself, Poppy’s story just resonated with me and I was keen to help out in any way we could."

Margeret James Estate Agents is known for its community help, having sponsored a local U8's football team previously.

Poppy's story recently made headlines after Bake-Off star Nadiya Hussain helped to push donations for the rainbow appeal on social media.

The fundraiser, set up by Poppy's family, hopes to raise enough money for potentially life saving treatment options abroad. These treatments could potentially cost thousands of pounds.
