Picture This closes its doors after 20 years in Newport Pagnell town centre after the owner began suffering from ill health.
The framing business has been popular with residents for a number of years and tributes have poured in over Facebook.
Ricky Oughton described the news as sad, stating that: "He's done some great work over the years.
"I’ve still got paintings framed by him from back in 2002 I think... and I have some more I wanted done.
"Take care Ron.
"You will be missed."
Kay Keep thanked the owner for his service over the years.
She said: "Enjoy your retirement stay healthy you deserve a rest now and thank our for your service to the town."
Another resident described her sadness at the loss of the shop.
Helen Westwood said: "I was so sad to see this - I have some beautiful framed pictures Ron did at home."
The shop will clearly be missed by the residents and they wish him well in his retirement.
