Newport Pagnell church comes up with creative way to mark Remembrance Day

This year's Remembrance Parade in Newport Pagnell has unfortunately been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But The Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul has come up with a creative way to ensure residents can still pay their respects to the fallen.

There will be a display at the church all made by the townsfolk, with people being invited to contribute to a 'river' of red pebbles.

These pebbles will be placed at the base of the cross and will remain there from the 2nd to 13th November.

People who wish to take part are being invited to paint, or decorate, a pebble or small rock in red. The church says people can be as "creative as they wish".

Aside from the river of red pebbles, there will be a short act of Remembrance at the church on Wednesday 11th November but attendance will be limited. Anyone who would like to attend the service should let the church office know on 01908 611145.
