New Milton Keynes GP surgery rated overall 'Good' by The Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Whitehouse Surgery in Milton Keynes, which has only been open for 18 months, has received an overall "Good" rating.

Despite only opening its doors in in December 2020, Whitehouse Surgery has already attracted over 6,000 new patients.

The report, The Care Quality Commission (CQC), recognised Whitehouse Surgery’s aim to meet the ever-changing needs of the growing patient base and the introduction of new services.

Kate Parker, Director of NHS Services at OneMedical Group, commented: "We are very proud of the Whitehouse team and the ‘Good’ rating in all five CQC assessment areas and our standards of care. The team is engaging and genuinely cares for patients and residents. We are delighted that our recent inspection has recognised the team’s efforts at Whitehouse Surgery over the last 18 months. We will continue building a community-focused service that aims to deliver outstanding patient care."

A patient review to the Whitehouse Surgery team says: "I just wanted to drop a note of appreciation regarding the staff at Whitehouse Surgery. I moved over from another local surgery in Milton Keynes last year, and I have to say the service is in a different league.

"The facilities are fantastic, but the staff really make a difference. Without exception, every interaction I've had, whether face-to-face with a GP or via email with Reception, has been second to none. I honestly cannot praise the team enough. They have restored my faith in healthcare. Please pass on my thanks and gratitude."

Nicky Poulain, Director of Primary Care, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Health and Care Partnership, said: "We are delighted with the outcome of the recent Whitehouse Surgery CQC inspection. This is a great achievement for this new surgery that has only been open for 18 months. The feedback received from the CQC has shown that this surgery is providing a good and effective service for its patients."
