MKFM has announced plans to step up its coverage of the coronavirus outbreak locally with a number of new daytime programmes being launched.
The new schedule will be centred around a new programme, 'MK Live', headed up by Darren and Lia who will move from Breakfast to Daytimes.
MK Live will broadcast each day between 10am and 4pm, with the marathon six hour programme containing interviews with local people and the latest news and information.
MKFM plans to deliver the very latest information for Milton Keynes with additional resources provided by the team at Stadium MK and MK Dons.
With most radio stations broadcasting from London, the team will enhance our output on-air and online to ensure we help our community to get through the next few weeks and months ahead.
Michael Blades will host Breakfast between 6am and 10am with Mikey Faulkner hosting Drive between 4pm and 8pm each day - both of which will contain all the latest from across Milton Keynes.
Evening programming between 8pm and Midnight will contain highlights from the days broadcasting and MK's Biggest Hits hosted by a different presenter each day.
The new schedule is subject to change further due to the fast moving circumstances.
Darren and Lia said: "Although the circumstances are very difficult, we hope we will be able to entertain and bring the people of Milton Keynes the very latest from around here."
"None of us have known anything like this and we need to pull together to get through this. Hopefully once this is over Milton Keynes will be a much better place through us all pulling together."
Measures are being put in place to ensure MKFM continues to broadcast live throughout the pandemic and provide the very latest information.
