Musica Charity Choir MK www.musicamk.uk  is a small fundraising choir: they raise their voices to help good causes in and around Milton Keynes. This is their first Virtual Performance, in aid of the new Covid-19 MK Emergency Response Appeal set up by Milton Keynes Community Foundation and MK Council to  support people most in need, who are struggling to pay for food or a roof over their heads.

It’s striking a chord with people who’ve seen it. Comments include: “Lovely. Just the tonic” “Thank you, a moment of peace in this nightmare.” “What a great idea and a bright spot this morning.”

Choir members have been promoting it not just in Milton Keynes but more widely too. They know it’s got from Calverton to Canada, New Bradwell to New York, Kettering to Kyrgyzstan, with encouragement for people abroad to contribute to their own local Emergency Relief Fund.

“We thought to ourselves – what can we do at home? We can sing to raise spirits by celebrating our wonderful natural world, and hopefully raise some money for the MK Appeal. So that’s what we’ve done” says Musica Publicity Officer David Wolfson. “In just four days we’ve had over 800 views and we can see donations coming into the MK Emergency Response Fund from people we’ve contacted. Please keep the ball rolling and share the link to ‘Wonderful World’ widely and ask people to donate if they can to MK Emergency Response Appeal.”
