MK Dons relegation to Sky Bet League Two almost certain following 2-0 defeat to Bradford

MK Dons are almost certain to be relegated to Sky Bet League Two next season following their 2-0 defeat to Bradford earlier, barring an incredibly unlikely combination of results in their favour over the coming weeks.

Goals from Dieng and Knight-Percival for Bradford and none from MK Dons in the game earlier this evening have all but confirmed the relegation of the Milton Keynes side next season.

MK Dons would now need to win both their remaining league games by a considerable margin to overcome goal difference, as well as hoping that teams such as Rochdale, Oldham and Walsall in the battle for relegation were to lose all of their remaining games.

MK Dons are set to play 6th placed Scunthorpe at home on Saturday, followed by an away game at 3rd placed Shrewsbury during the following week.

The Milton Keynes based club parted ways with manager Dan Micciche earlier this week.
