MK Debut For International Violinist Chloë Hanslip

Chloë Hanslip will make her MK debut performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with Milton Keynes City Orchestra (MKCO), at MK Theatre on Sunday 25th February.

This is part of an amazing concert programme that will also showcase the talent of the MK Youth Orchestra.

Chloë performs internationally to great acclaim; she made her BBC Proms debut in 2002 and her US concerto debut in 2003 and now her prodigious talent is recognised around the world. She has performed at major venues in the UK and Europe including The Royal Festival Hall, all, Vienna Musikverein, Paris Louvre, St Petersburg Hermitage as well as Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Arts Space in Tokyo and the Seoul Arts Centre.

The concert also showcases the young musicians of the MK Youth Orchestra playing Sibelius’ Finlandia side-by-side with MKCO professional musicians. The concert concludes with Elgar’s much loved Enigma Variations. Both Finlandia and the Enigma Variations are part of the BBC Ten Pieces programme, aimed at encouraging young people to understand and enjoy classical music.

Damian Iorio, Music Director of MKCO said; “It is a huge privilege to welcome Chloë Hanslip to perform with us in MK. It’s also special to have both MKCO and MK Youth Orchestra on stage for our annual side by side concert. This is an important part of our education programme and an experience that the young musicians will remember for the rest of their lives.”

Tickets are available from £12 - £36.00  and a £5 ticket for under 18’s and students, tickets prices are subject to MK Theatre restoration and booking fees. www.mkco.org
