Milton Keynes’s new GP surgery will open its doors to patients today

    Whitehouse Surgery based in the state-of-the-art Whitehouse Health Centre has been jointly funded by NHS England and Milton Keynes Council.

    OneMedical Group will provide GP services from two floors of the new three-storey building which has 11 consulting rooms and two treatment rooms.

    The CCG and Milton Keynes Council have made it a strategic priority to ensure the increased demand for primary care services can be met now and in the future as developments are built and the population grows.

    Dr Nicola Smith, Chair of Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said: “We are delighted to have this modern addition to primary care services in Milton Keynes that will enable OneMedical Group to deliver excellent healthcare that meets the needs of local residents.”

    Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at Milton Keynes Council, Cllr Hannah O’Neill said: “We’re proud to have invested almost £10m in this state of the art surgery that will provide excellent healthcare to our residents. My thanks go out to everyone involved in bringing this much needed service to the local area.”

    Dr Will Dawson, Chief Executive of OneMedical Group, said: “We are delighted to be officially opening the doors of Whitehouse Surgery.  We have received a fantastic response from residents who have registered their interest with the surgery over the last few weeks, and we look forward to welcoming our first patients.”
