Milton Keynes town parkrun organisers call out for volunteers

Starting just 4 weeks ago, the team are desperately looking for volunteers over the next few weeks to establish a core team for Newport Pagnell's very own parkrun.

The 5km run takes place at Bury Field with people gathering at 9am to run, jog or even walk the distance.

Open to all ages and abilities, the weekly event is organised entirely by volunteers.

A spokesperson told MKFM: "We're desperately trying to recruit volunteers who are free 8:30am - 10am on Saturday mornings to help fill our roster for the event to go ahead safely each week."

"Got a spare hour on Saturday morning?! Looking to support your community and make new friends in a positive, friendly environment?! Think parkrun is only for runners?!

"Bury Field Park Run needs you!

    "Running is 100% not required!"

Anybody looking to help can put their name down here.

More information on the parkrun can be found on the group's Facebook page.
