Milton Keynes Talking Therapies Service raising awareness for support on offer for people experiencing anxiety

Milton Keynes Talking Therapies Service is raising awareness for local support on offer for people experiencing anxiety during this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week (15th to 21st May).

Milton Keynes Talking Therapies is a free, confidential NHS service offering help for mild to moderate symptoms of common mental health problems, including anxiety, depression and stress.

They help up to 7,000 Milton Keynes residents with their mental health every single year.

The service can offer support if you’re struggling to cope with anxiety including through 1:1 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), online support and group-based therapy.

Clinical lead and consultant clinical psychologist Dr Neil Smith said: “Anxiety is a very common mental health condition affecting 3 in 10 people1 and there is help available. Catch it early and reach out for support when you’re struggling – we’re here for you.”

You don’t need to contact your GP to access this service. Self-referrals are accepted via the quick and easy online portal and a member of staff will be in touch to book a 30-minute consultation.

For enquiries please call 01908 725099.
