The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has announced the prestigious Star Council Awards finalists – and Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils have been shortlisted in the County Association of the year.
NALC is the national membership body which represents the interests of more than 10,000 Parish and Town councils in England. Local councils are the first tier of local government, closest to communities and residents, and play a vital role in shaping local services, supporting neighbourhoods, and improving quality of life.
NALC provides national leadership, campaigns on behalf of the sector, supports best practice, and offers guidance and resources to strengthen local democracy.
The winners of the Star Council Awards will be announced at the NALC Parliamentary Reception on 24 February 2026 at the House of Lords.
