Milton Keynes secondary school hit with three 'unrelated' coronavirus cases in one week

A secondary school in Milton Keynes has been hit with three 'unrelated' coronavirus cases in just one week.

Shenley Brook End School contacted parents on Monday, Wednesday and today informing them of coronavirus cases within the school community.

Today's letter states that a Year 11 pupil has tested positive for the virus, adding that there is "no connection" to yesterday's case.

"We know that you may find this concerning," the letter adds, "but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England."

Despite the three positive cases, the school remains open for students who have not been in close contact with the affected individuals.

Those who have been in close contact, however, must self-isolate for 14 days.
