Milton Keynes secondary school brings in mobile testing units following a rise in COVID-19 cases

Public Health England recommended the secondary school host mobile testing for students following an alarming rise in positive cases.

Following the return of pupils last month, Shenley Brook End School have been working closely with Public Health England.

Just last week, Headteacher Mr C Holmwood sent out an email strongly recommending that all pupils between year 7-11 were to get a PCR test in their own time.

Now, due to an increased amount of cases, Public Health England have requested that the school host their testing units on site.

From today (22/9), all students (with consent) will be tested on site. The mobile testing units are due to stay on site for 5 days.

In a letter sent out to parents and guardians, Headteacher Mr C Holmwood explains "This is due to an increasing amount of positive test results we are having reported, of cases within the school especially those who are testing positive but have no symptoms."

Testing for students will be taking place throughout the school day.
