Freedom Day Concert to be held in Milton Keynes

The Freedom Day Concert will give locals an opportunity to thank key workers and remember those who have lost their lives due to the pandemic.

The event will be held at Milton Keynes Rose in Campbell Park at 7pm on Monday 19 July.

With free admission to all Milton Keynes residents, there will be performances from local artists including Tinkers Lane, Noah's cape and Soprano UkieToones and Emily Haig.

Due to last two hours, the event will give locals the chance to remember those who have tragically lost their lives due to the pandemic and to also thank the key workers that have worked and helped others throughout the pandemic.

The Milton Keynes Rose, designed for the City by Artist Gordon Young, has pillars to mark and commemorate many occasions both happy and sad throughout the year.

Last year, Milton Keynes Rose unveiled a new COVID 19 pillar to commemorate the coronavirus pandemic and particularly those who have lost their lives in Milton Keynes. The pillar aims to provide a safe and comforting place for commemoration during this unsettling time, especially when other places couldn't be visited.
