The Milton Keynes Play Association is providing parents with the option to purchase pre-packed boxes of craft, scrap and painting materials to keep kids busy during lockdown.
MKPA has been issued a grant from Milton Keynes Community Foundation, meaning that two staff members can remain on reduced hours to continue the charity's work.
There are various options available for people who wish to purchase one of the boxes or bags. Collection will be arranged via email or phone, and will be non-contact.
The materials for sale are:
SCRAP BOXES - Offering £10 and £15** Construction Box, Fabric/Materials Box, Painting Box, Craft Box, Mixed/Multi-activity Box and Under 5's box. MKPA has said they will be "stuffed to the brim" with various items and recyclable materials. Email your order to admin@mkpa.co.uk (only).
EASTER BAGS - £7 for a full bag of Easter-related goodies for two children including 2 bottles of paint, a notebook, 2 paintbrushes, Easter trail pack, egg cartons, face masks, paper bags and lots of other Easter goodies. Other Easter items are available to purchase. Email your order to admin@mkpa.co.uk (only).
CRAFT BAGS - £1.50 for a bag full of paper crafts, 5 different crafts. Email your order to admin@mkpa.co.uk (only)
REUSE FOR REPLAY SCRAP BAG - £2.50** each bag. This is a themed bag full of smaller scrap items to build with. This month's theme is 'Transport'. Create your own form of transport, send MKPAA the pictures and be entered in a draw to win a prize. Email your order to admin@mkpa.co.uk (only).
As mentioned, collection will be non-contact. Those wishing to order item(s) must email the above email address and provide a contact number to arrange both a phone payment and collection
"We will arrange a slotted time for you to collect," said a spokesperson from MKPAA. "Call us when you are in the car park at the front of the building, we will bring the box out to your car and leave it there for you, avoiding any contact at all."
