Milton Keynes nurse has passed away from COVID-19

Craig Goldsney died in hospital, aged 47, on Thursday 21st January 2021 after a hard-fought battle with COVID-19.

Mr Goldsney was a registered mental health nurse within the healthcare department at HMP Woodhill, where he worked since December 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Becca, and three sons, Jacob, Ben and Ethan.

His colleagues have created a GoFundMe page to help his family during this difficult time. In tribute to their colleague, the Woodhill Collective wrote: “It is with great sadness that we are setting up this page in honour and memory of our dear friend and much-respected colleague, Staff Nurse Craig Goldsney.

“Craig was an extremely popular member of the healthcare team with his colleagues and prison staff, and he was well respected and liked by his patients.

“Please feel free to share this far and wide to get as much help for Becca and the boys as possible.

“Thank you so much in advance for your generosity.”

Councillor for Central Milton Keynes, Paul Williams, endorsed the fundraiser and added his condolences, as he said: “Sad to learn of the tragic death from Covid of someone I used to work with at HMP Woodhill. Please donate if you can.”
