A study by OneFamily has ranked Milton Keynes as the most cost-efficient place to live in the UK
Modern family finance company OneFamily ranked Britain's towns and cities with over 200,000 residents to find out the best places to work and raise a family.
Milton Keynes was placed fourth on their overall index and also named the most cost-effective place to live.
The survey was based on a wide range of factors such as property prices, commuting costs, salary, rent and quality of life.
According to the study MK's living costs fall well below the average income.
With an average commuting cost across the city of £2,163 and an average salary of £31,324, MK gained an overall satisfaction rating of 23/35.
Milton Keynes, Aberdeen and Swindon were the only cities outside of Northern England to make the overall list.
