Milton Keynes man sentenced for repeatedly harassing police officer

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation a man has been sentenced for harassment in Milton Keynes.

Aaron Clifford, aged 39, of Roveley Court was found guilty of one count of harassment by a district judge last Wednesday (14/10) at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court.

Clifford was sentenced on the same day to 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months and was given a restraining order against his victim.

The sentence relates to incidents that took place between 20 to 22 July 2019, when Clifford repeatedly phoned a Thames Valley Police officer and subjected them to verbal harassment and threats.

Police Sergeant Catherine Story, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am happy with the outcome of this case but more importantly it demonstrates that positive action will be taken against those that feel it is acceptable to harass, abuse and threaten police officers or PCSOs”.
