Local MP Ben Everitt has praised the ‘heroes’ at Milton Keynes Hospital during a speech in the House of Commons.

The hospital currently has 200 COVID-19 patients which is more than the peak of the first wave, and the MP also said that the hospital’s intensive care unit is full.

Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, was speaking in a debate on the tier system and was full of praise for the hospital staff who are helping ‘us get through this’.

He said: “That hospital is amazing and all the staff there are working so hard. They’re heroes and I want to thank them."

“Everybody at that hospital is working incredibly hard and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart because it is our healthcare professionals who are going to help us get through this."

“With vaccinations, new treatments and this tiered system, we will get through this.”
