Milton Keynes charity calls for residents to vote in quest to win huge money prize

    The Bus Shelter MK have been shortlisted in a national competition and are in with a chance of winning a huge £5000 donation.

    The Bus Shelter MK have been shortlisted as one of 12 finalists from around the UK going before a public vote in the Selco Stars competition, organised by leading builders merchants Selco Builders Warehouse.

    After being selected in the first round of the competition by the Selco judges to receive £500 worth of building materials, the shortlisted charities are now competing in a national public vote to land a significant cash windfall.

    The top prize is a huge £5,000 donation with a second prize of £1,250.

    In a statement on their website, Pam Williams, of The Bus Shelter MK, said: “We offer a route out of homelessness for people sleeping on the streets of Milton Keynes and have provided a temporary home to more than 90 people since opening in March 2018. 

    “We were previously based in a converted double decker bus in a car park but the charity now has a long term home following our renovations to a former landscaping depot

    “Winning £5,000 would be huge boost for us and enable us to help more people rebuild their lives.”

    The deadline for votes is Saturday 31st July 2021.

    Only one vote can be made per person per day.
