Milton Keynes GP surgery reopens following confirmed coronavirus case

Hilltops Medical Centre in Great Holm will today (10/3) reopen following yesterday's closure.

On Monday (9/3), the medical centre was closed for cleaning to "remove any potential risk for patients".

This follows the news that a person with a "confirmed case of coronavirus" attended the surgery.

Patients who have recently attended Hilltops are criticising the lack of information that the surgery is providing the public. It is not yet known when the person with COVID-19 visited the surgery; it has been said that the surgery cannot reveal the date due to "patient confidentiality".

However, it has been reported that the GP surgery is undergoing contact tracing to find those who have come in contact with said person.

A statement on Hilltops Medical Centre's website said: "Patients and staff can be reassured that their safety is the top priority, and patients are encouraged to attend all appointments as usual unless told otherwise."

The pharmacy within Hilltops Medical Centre was also closed for cleaning yesterday. It is believed that the pharmacy will too reopen today.

Hilltops Medical Centre will be open from 09:30 am today.
