Milton Keynes firefighters rescue girl after flat ceiling collapses

At 9:55pm last night (16/07), local firefighters raced to assist after a flat ceiling partially collapsed on Somerset Close, Bletchley.

Attending the scene from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service was one appliance and crew from West Ashland station.

Firefighters determined that the cause of the collapse was a water leak.

They were then able to isolate the water and electricity supply as they made the site safe.

A young girl of unknown age was rescued and given first aid at the scene. It is not believed that anyone else was injured as a result of this incident.
